You say Basil, I say Basel

Im leaving Basel in a few hours for Istanbul. It was not as bad as I was expecting. It helped that the weather has been in the upper 70s the last three days. I liked Basel's feel more than Zurich's. It felt more homely and less of a city. I spent most of the days walking around and hanging out at the park playing hacky-sack. I found it at a bar in Amsterdam. Good thing I did. Here are some pictures of Basel.

Here is a video of a fountain. It is done by a famous ironwork artist but I can't think of his name at the moment.

Today I went to this church, the Munster. It is Basel's biggest. I wanted to walk up inside the tower but you had to be with more than one person. For some reason you can't go up by yourself.

I am leaving for the airport in 3 hours. I arrive in Istanbul at 2:15 AM. Thankfully I was able to get my hostel to come pick me up. I felt like that was more worth it than depending on a taxi driver. Well until Turkey. Cheers.
